Competitive Team

Competitive gymnastics is a specialized sport that demands many hours of work and dedication.  It is also a passion.  The girls on our competitive teams learn to work hard and set goals.  They learn commitment and team work, they make friends and memories and they have experiences that last a lifetime.  At Gymnastic World, we offer competitive and semi-competitive teams. 

All team members of Gymnastic World train and compete under programs designed by the USA Gymnastics committee.

Competitive Team – Levels 2-10

Gymnastic World offers competitive gymnastics beginning at Level 2. Beginning at Level 2, all athletes are required to obtain a USAG competitive registration number and all competitive events are sanctioned by USA Gymnastics. At this level, girls spend 6-20 hours in the gym each week and attend 4-7 meets per competitive season.  Gymworld teams attend both local and out of town meets.

In the past 20 years, Gymworld has been proud to have State Champions on many of our levels.  Collegiate interests may only be obtained by this route only

Competitive Team – USAG Xcel 

Gymnastic World is now offering the Bronze, Silver, Gold, & Platinum Divisions of the Xcel program. The Xcel Program is designed to offer a broad-based, affordable competitive experience outside the traditional Jr. Olympic Program.  Xcel is a unique gymnastic opportunity where the athlete’s strengths are capitalized upon to create individualized routines for all apparatus. This system is focused on learning and developing new skills while enjoying the competitive aspects of gymnastics. It is a more personalized approach to all levels of gymnastics not just the highest levels. Additionally, Xcel promotes the perfecting of basic skills, learning of new and more challenging skills, artistry, creativity, persistence, achieving goals, good sportsmanship and camaraderie.  We are very excited about this new addition to our competitive team and the opportunities that it offers our athletes.  These gymnasts are selected through our recreational class program.
